On May 19, 2013, I witnessed my Morehouse Brothers graduate on the front of Century campus lawn. It will be such a memorable day for me because my president, Barack H. Obama, was the Commencement Speaker for this celebration. In the pouring rain, these graduates, the family, friends, and all other hundreds of people who attended stood there, moved by the glorious ceremony. Many may think different, but the rain only added a positive dramatic affect towards the memorable day.
Barack Obama’s humbleness towards the graduating students and the crowd did nothing more but warm the spirits of the already soaked crowd. All I can say is, it was a day to remember! I love my institution!
I cannot wait to become a Morehouse Man!
